Crockpot Chicken Paprikash
with Dumplings
Paprikash ingredients:
Drop small spoonfuls of dumpling mixture into hot crock pot mixture (aim for the liquid areas). Cook for about 15 more minutes.
I served this with steamed broccoli for some color variation. It was delicious! :)

(Recipe adapted from allrecipes.com - photo also from allrecipes.com - I did not use noodles, I added dumplings instead.)
Paprikash ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3 tablespoons Hungarian paprika
- 3/4 cup white wine
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Directions:
- Add chicken and onions to crockpot.
- Add paprika, wine, and broth.
- Let chicken mixture slow cook for several hours (3-4 hours on high heat or 6-8 hours on low heat).
- Stir in 1/2 cup sour cream. Heat through.
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/6 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup milk
